New to my machine, but have completely read the manual and watched video I could find. I perused about every forum I could find and unable to find an answer.

I purchased my system used which already had plans for a rod holder installed on the card. I loaded the board and went through the series of prompts. I am now stuck in a loop of asking me to install the 1/8 inch bit. It goes through all the checks and homing, then returns to the center asking me to install it again? Its firmly seated, its indeed the 1/8 inch bit, machine has been blown, cleaned and lubricated properly.

Any suggestions?

Scott,

Most probable cause is the "bit plate" is not coming out all the way when the machine does the start up check for the bit length. If the bit plate does not come out and the bit does not touch it then the CW thinks there is not bit installed.

Caused for this, Y belt tennsion low, dust in the spring of the bit plate, wires from cut motor in far back corner hitting the back of the Z motor not letting it travel the full distance,
