RHEAL,

If you ever have some art work that needs to be converted and don't want to take the time to do it yourself via CorelDraw etc, check out these folks. It's not free but......

http://www.artworksource.com/

They have done some outstanding work for me.

Very Happy

FW,

No unfortunately. I've been using this service to convert items to vector art for use on my laser engraver.

Which leads me to ask you a question. Can the computer files generated in the designer software be imported and converted in CorelDraw? Any idea how that might be possible?

Question Very Happy

Woodchips,

Long time no see. Hope you have been doing well!!

The only way I know of to take something from the designer software to other programs is maybe the pattern editor. You can save any work there as an image file (png) that could then be imported into other software...

FW,

Yes sir, it has been awhile. I spend a lot of my time traveling these days between my shop in SoCal, my home in South Dakota, my laser work in the San Francisco bay area and my small business in Japan. I haven't done much of anything on my CW in a couple of months now mainly because I've been concentrating on the laser engraver.

That's why my question on CorelDraw importing files generated on the CW designer software.

I'll have to give your idea here a shot. i think Corel can import a png file and then convert it. If that's the case then I should be able to use the same "design" files between platforms. It was tough enough for me to learn the designer software for the CW. And then to have to turn around and learn Corel for the laser? Difficult, and I'm still not sure I've gotten it all right.

If there are those out there that know anything more about this type of file conversion I'd certainly appreciate hearing from all of you.

Thanks again FW for your suggestion. I'll let you know how it works out.

lol! cheers Very Happy

Woodchips,

Racking up the miles it sounds like! One heck of a commute. lol!

I know nothing about Corel so maybe others will add some input on this. I would think you can import a png file.

Just to let you know it is ok to post some of your laser work here to. We are not just dedicated to the CW/CC....
