Domestic Lumber

Woodworkers Shop has been providing quality hardwood lumber for over 70 years. We stock over 25 different types of domestic lumber and have over a million board feet on hand at our distribution center in Pekin. Whether it's one board or a thousand board feet, we've got the knowledge and the resources to fit your needs.

We provide rough, FAS and dimensional hardwood lumber in a variety of thicknesses and widths. Our lumber buyer searches the country for the highest quality lumber available at the best prices. We encourage you to come to our stores and take your time finding just the right lumber for your next project. Our lumber is not wrapped in plastic and you're not stuck with those prepacked lengths like the Big Box Stores provide. We'll cut your boards to a more manageable length so you can transport the material easier. We'll even cut a section off the end of a longer board as long as you leave us at least 6' for the next person!

Don't have time or don't want to do your own board selection? Call us and tell us what you need and we'll pull it our for you and have it ready for pick-up or delivery.

Exotic Lumber Packs

Our exotic lumber packs are available in 10 and 20 board foot packs. Each order will be hand-selected and carefully packaged for shipment to you via UPS. The widths will be random and the current available widths in inventory are shown in the product description for each pack. Lengths will vary from 24" - 48". Please contact us with specific requests and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Free Shipping on Exotic Lumber Packs applies to standard ground shipments within the 48 contiguous states only. It does not apply to Alaska and Hawaii. Due to weight and size constraints, this offer is only available for 10 BF and 20 BF orders.

Surfacing:

With the exception of Cumaru, Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba) and Honduras Mahogany, our exotic lumber is hit and miss surfaced to 15/16". It has not been straight line ripped.

Cumaru, Brazilian Cherry and Honduras Mahogany have been straight line ripped on one edge (SLRIE) and have been surfaced 2 sides (S2S) to 13/16".

FA-REAKIN' SWEET!!!

I talked to a couple of cabinet shops in the area last week, looking for wood. Most of them were nice, till I mentioned what I was doing. After that it was a little difficult to get information out of them. I dont want to start, nor have anything to do with manufacturing or installing cabinets.... weird. I figured they may have a good line on mills or suppliers of custom and exotic woods and special sizes. I have a lead with one guy here on some cherry. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the info on this place!!! If I find any more I will post the information here.
