Machine is still in the box. I have a need to learn to create pattern objects. Any and all help, guidance, etc would be greatly appreciated. I own but am a new user of Corel X5 and also use Photoshop fairly regularly. Is there any in depth written instructions anywhere that covers pattern making???

Gary,

Welcome to the forum and to the world of CW! I do not have or use either of the programs you listed. I mainly use paint.net and the pattern editor program that comes with the probe for the CW. I know of some who do use your programs for pattern making and I think some have stated that Corel does have some on line tutorials.

Most pro pattern makers use high end 3D rendering/sculpting software that costs several thousands of dollars. VectorArt3D is one company.
